Working with Cancer Council NSW, Blacktown Hospital and NSW Health (Western Sydney Local Health District), I created the visual communication for the wig library at Blacktown Hospital. The service lends wigs, turbans, beanies and scarves free of charge to people experiencing hair loss during cancer treatment.
The wig library needed to be easier to find and easier to understand, but the real challenge was the brief: three brands on every piece. Cancer Council, Blacktown Hospital and NSW Health each have their own identity and brand rules. The materials had to respect all three without feeling crowded or confusing to patients and families who were already dealing with a lot.
I designed a co-branded system that gave each organisation its rightful place while keeping the patient’s needs first. A clear brand hierarchy kept the three identities working together rather than competing, so the information always led. The system was applied across a Z-fold flyer, wayfinding wall decals guiding visitors through the hospital to the service, and a pull-up banner raising the profile of the Cancer Council Information Centre.
One clear, co-branded look shared by three organisations, making the wig library easier for patients and families to find and use.
